The Cyclops Underwater Sniping Mask is an underwater viewing mask specifically designed to keep your face out of the water. The mask has a face standoff from water of 170mm.
The main benefits of using this mask:
- Keeps your face out of the water, avoiding water running down inside clothing
- Frees up both hands for working the bedrock surface etc
- Does not mist up from breathing
- Can be worn over certain prescription glasses and spectacles
The mask is not made to be water tight around the face like normal diving and snorkel masks, enabling it to be worn over certain prescription glasses and spectacles.
When sniping and working from the river surface in waders for example, using this mask means you can comfortably work without the cold water running down inside your waders and clothing.
The mask will not steam up whilst breathing through either you mouth or nose, and is fitted with skin safe silicon rubber cushions for both your forehead and nose bridge.
The mask has a single acrylic oval lens, providing a viewing area of 120mm long by 95mm wide; hence the name “Cyclops Underwater Sniping Mask”.
It has two adjustable side straps, and an adjustable top strap to help stabilise it whilst working in faster stream currents.
It is hand made from uPVC and takes approximately 4hours to make, over a three day period allowing for materials drying times.
