This Large Sniping Hand Pump has a capacity of 225ml, and has a exposed 160mm long, 10mm diameter suction tube.
It’s used in the streams to suck up small gold flakes from the bedrock, cracks and crevices.
It works in the same way as a snuffer bottle, in that the tube is inserted in to the palm container including the quick release assembly to 90mm, mitigating the risk of material sucked up into it, escaping.
Release the suction tube via the quick release assembly, and pull out the tube. Squeeze and tap the palm container into a gold pan to expel the captured material.
The palm container is made of silicon rubber and the tube is aluminium.
The quick release assembly can be also removed; providing total clean out, and individual part replacement; rather than being glued in place! Release clip is stainless steel.
The quick release assembly also acks as a stabiliser to the suction tube by its unique design, and includes a slight conical funnel to help expel material. This can come in either black or white and unfortunately can’t be selected; simply depends upon what colour with have in stock.
